WATCH: Maddison’s stunning free-kick! (Pasted due to 7 day expiry)
Norwich’s James Maddison scored a stunning free-kick to open the scoring in front of the Sky cameras at Reading on Saturday.
Daniel Farke’s side have been slowly making their mark in the Sky Bet Championship after a lacklustre start to the campaign and, after having the better of the opening exchanges, took the lead 10 minutes in at the Madejski Stadium.
When Cameron Jerome was fouled by Paul McShane 10 yards outside the box, Norwich were awarded a central free-kick; Maddison stepped up and hit a shot over the wall, far out of the reach of the despairing Vito Mannone.
Superb, but this wasn’t a one-off, though. The 20-year-old playmaker scored a 25-yard screamer – that proved to be the winner – in a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Tuesday evening.
