Still coming to terms with last night…I was sent by GetWestLondon to cover Chelsea’s opening game of the 2016/17 Barclays Premier League season.

As I nervously walked into the press room at Stamford Bridge, I got oddly starstruck as I found myself mingling with journalists including John Cross and Ian Abrahams (the Moose from talkSPORT), whom I sat next to during the game, too. Add that to the lavish Italian buffet laid on (in homage to new Blues manager Antonio Conte, I’d imagine) and a decent game of football and you’ve got one hell of an evening. I probably won’t be heading to a Premier League game for a while due to commitments elsewhere this season, but whilst I was there I thought I should probably write something and at least look as if I knew what was going on..
